Connor Armstrong, MD fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction (hip and knee replacement)

Dr. Connor Armstrong is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon in adult hip and knee reconstructive surgery, focusing on the most up-to-date surgical and non-surgical options for osteoarthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and lower extremity deformity around the hip and knee. He specializes in knee arthroplasty, including partial and total knee replacement using standard and minimally invasive approaches, as well as complex revision knee replacement. He also has a passion for computer-assisted navigation and robotic knee replacement. He also specializes in hip replacement utilizing the direct anterior approach, a muscle-sparing and minimally invasive technique allowing for more rapid recovery. He also specializes in complex primary and revision hip replacement.

Dr Armstrong was born and raised in the great state of Texas. He received his Chemical Engineering degree from Texas A&M University. He went on to earn his medical degree from the Long School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During medical school he received the Ryan Folsom Student Memorial Award for excellence in Orthopaedics, reserved for one student passionate about Orthopaedics. Dr Armstrong was fortunate enough to stay at UT Health San Antonio to complete his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery. During residency he found his passion for Adult Reconstruction. He completed his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia, a high-volume primary and revision hip and knee replacement center.

Outside of work, Dr Armstrong is a dedicated family man and enjoys spending time with his wife, Julia, an OB-GYN in Corpus Christi, and their children. He is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care to the people of Corpus Christi, The Coastal Bend, and surrounding South Texas communities.
